Administrative Associate

Our client is searching for an Administrative Associate for their office located in the Greenway Plaza area. This is a temporary role that could become a permanent position in the future.  The hourly rate is $17-19 per hour (depending upon experience) with a 37.5 hour work week (7.5 hours per day).

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties will consist of receiving documents and assisting with the preparation and printing of summary reports that are sent to customers.
  • Closely review and proofread documents for accuracy and to detect any errors.
  • Identify any missing documents.
  • Communicate with other departments and customers to resolve missing, inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect documents.
  • Extensive data entry.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong computer and typing skills
  • Some accounting experience is a plus (for reviewing calculations, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communicator (verbal and written).

Customer Interface Representative

Our client is searching for a Customer Interface Representative for their medical company located in Southwest Houston (Meyerland area).  The ideal candidate would be a well-organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills who is able to work well in a team dynamic.  The salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 per year.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Customer order entry.
  • Answer customer phone calls and respond to e-mails.
  • Answer any customer questions or address any concerns.
  • Assist in answering requests for quotes to provide pricing and other terms.
  • Provide customers any missing documentation or invoices.
  • Perform required data entry for maintenance and reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Other light accounting and administrative duties.

Requirements:

Shippping Specialist/Administrative Assistant

Senior Tax Associate

Our client, an accounting firm concentrating on motor fuels tax compliance and consulting services, is searching for a Senior Tax Associate with strong research experience.  This position can be full-time or part-time and it’s a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office).  The salary range is $90,000-$100,000 per year (for full-time).  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of U.S. Federal and State motor fuels tax return filings. 
  • Research issues surrounding motor fuels tax, registration, and filing requirements.
  • Assist with client responses to state and federal motor fuels tax audits, notices, and assessments. 
  • Implement tax automation software that facilitates motor fuels tax return preparation and filing.
  • Interact with clients on pre-defined topics for ongoing projects.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.  Masters a plus.
  • CPA (or CPA eligible) a plus. 
  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong hands-on research experience utilizing RIA Checkpoint, CCH, Bloomberg, BNA, Westlaw, or LexisNexis. 
  • Previous public accounting experience a plus.
  • Previous motor fuels tax experience a plus.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.  
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.

Accounting Analyst

Our client is searching for an Accounting Analyst for their private equity owned energy company with offices in The Woodlands and downtown Houston.  This position can be based in either location and will report to the Senior Accountant.  This role with have shared responsibilities including accounting, planning, and financial reporting and the salary range is $70,000-$80,000 per year plus bonus.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain updated corporate books and records for Holding Companies.
  • On a regular basis, interact with our Latin America finance teams. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts and bank reconciliations, with complete understanding of all outstanding balances. Maintain proper supporting documentation.
  • Support with consolidation of the financial statements, notes and explanations as needed.
  • Propose and implement improvements as needed.
  • Ensure proper translation and revaluation of foreign currency trial balance.
  • Process Payroll entries and provide variance analysis.
  • Review, identify, and book any necessary inter-company eliminations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting between entities.
  • Assist with audit process.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and other ad-hoc projects supporting the management team needs.
  • Be highly personable and a proactive individual ready to wear multiple hats and challenge the status-quo. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum two years' experience in accounting, preferably in international company setting.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Must possess a strong ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability and be able to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives.
  • Ability to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
  • Accounting expertise USGAAP/ IFRS.
  • Availability to travel in a normal year – 5-10% international travel.
  • Proficiency in Excel, accounting software packages, and financial reporting software.
  • NetSuite experience preferred, but not required.

Administrative/Customer Service Assistant

Our client is searching for an Administrative/Customer Service Assistant for their company located in Southwest Houston. The salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 per year. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers and process customer orders which may include data entry, printing, scanning, proofing, emailing, etc.
  • Create memos, e-mails, spreadsheets, and presentations as requested.
  • Coordinate documentation and information between customers and sales/marketing personnel.
  • Assist with daily shipping of small products via Fed-Ex and USPS.
  • Notify customer with shipping information (product description, tracking information, etc.).
  • Provide status reports to management and the department as needed.
  • Assist in other special assignments as needed.
